Late Nights
I swore I’d go to bed early tonight, but here I am, at nearly 1 am. I’ve been so busy with things that I end up losing track of time at night working on all sorts of stuff.
I’m hoping that this weekend we have nothing to do — nothing. I’m so tired of having stuff to do… birthday parties, people visiting, etc. I do have to mow the lawn, which I don’t really want to do, but hey. At least I get some time alone with my thoughts while I work.
I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands. Landscaping, woodworking, or even just straightening up the house. You end up using a different part of your brain to solve problems and it frees your mind to think about other things that you normally don’t get to think about. It’s almost like a vacation for my brain.
Unfortunately, I don’t take vacations very often.
