Chipping Away
I’ve been very busy lately working little by little on various projects, and I have madea decent amount of progress on some. I think if I got more sleep, I’d be in much better shape, but oh well.
My parents generously offered to help pay for plane tickets to Iowa for my fishing trip next month with my dad. It makes me very happy because I was not looking forward to the 12+ hour drive in a car that’s pushing 9 years old and 185,00 miles. My little Saturn has been good, and it’s still running well, but the odds are stacked against it now. I would take the Jeep, but Kelly needs it in case she decides to haul the kids around while I’m gone. I haven’t flown in a long time anyway, and when you count crossing time zones, the flight will be only a couple of hours into Cedar Rapis, and then less than an hour to get to Cedar Falls.
The next day, dad and I will travel up into Minnesota for a weekend of fun.
