We just had one of the worst snowstorms I’ve ever been in on Monday. I went out at 3pm to pick up my son up from school, and it was whiteout conditions all through town. For those of you that have never been in a whiteout, imagine really, really thick fog… but them it’s really cold, snow is piling up at astounding rates, and you can’t keep your windows clear very easily without some kind of turbo defrost.

At any rate, we battled the storm, closed roads, and some pretty scary driving all night as we got stranded in another town trying to pick up our daughter from daycare. We finally got hom at about 9:30pm.

I’ll say this: the Jeep more than earned its stripes this week. It’s awesome on the snow—solid as a rock, and like it was on dry pavement most of the time. I also have to give a plug to the Nokian Vatiiva (basically a more off-roady WR), which is by far one of the best all-season tires I’ve ever had.
